About

Daniele Chiaradia

I wrote my first line of code at 15, at school, on a compiler that crashed every ten minutes. It wasn't as exciting as it sounds. But it worked, and from that point I haven't been able to stop.

For years I took courses, read documentation, built prototypes that were always going to stay that way. I studied Computer Engineering at university, with an AI focus. Useful, though the most interesting lessons came from outside the lecture hall.

I work mainly with Flutter, because it's the tool that lets me turn an idea into something real in the most direct way. I also use Swift, PHP, SQL, Python and Kotlin, depending on what the job calls for. I've never had a preferred domain: what interests me is the problem to solve.

It usually starts with something someone is still doing by hand, or a process repeated so many times that sooner or later something is bound to go wrong. My job is to understand how it works, cut out the unnecessary steps, and build software around it that does its job without needing constant attention.

That's probably the part I enjoy most: taking an hour out of someone's day and making it disappear. Not with magic, but with well-built software. A piece of data that used to live in three different places, a step everyone repeats every week, a process nobody ever had time to fix. I work on it until it stops being a problem and just works.

The attention to detail was never a conscious choice. It's just that half-finished projects bother me.
